Instruction to Bidders on Public Works - 271

This document is to be used for a capital improvement for public works when the project is competitive bid. This document addresses pre-bid procedures by providing Owners of the construction project an opportunity to instruct a Constructor (aka builder, general contractor, design-bid-builder, construction manager) on how they will submit a bid and how the Owner will make an award. This construction document provides information about pre-bid procedures, including obtaining bidding documents; how additional information will be addressed prior to opening of bids; and the examination of bidding documents and worksite prior to award. This document has an option for unit pricing.
